Religious sites
Very early on, the Côte-de-Beaupré traced an indelible mark in the religious history in North America. The Sanctuary of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré was the site of the first pilgrimages in North America, beginning in the times of New France. Sailors and the Province of Québec have made Good Saint Anne their Patron Saint. This region accounts for three of the oldest parishes in Quebec. Well-known artists such as Alphonse Paré, Louis Jobin, the Baillarge's, Albert Gilles, decorated our churches and many more throughout Quebec and elsewhere.
