A Museum Exploring Our History — From New France to the Present Day
Traveling along the Beaupré coast is like wandering through a vast outdoor
museum. It’s a museum that looks at the diverse facets of the region’s history,
from the First Nations to the seigneurie of Beaupré and the Conquest of 1759.
Interpretation
Our museums help visitors uncover Québec’s storied
past—from the very first families right up to the present
day. Take in the colony’s history and learn about your
ancestry. This year you can also take the Archéo-Vision
Route at La Grande Ferme heritage initiation center or visit
unique Musée de la civilisation satellite exhibitions on Mgr.
François de Laval at three of our most popular sites (Côte-de-Beaupré Interpretation
Center, Moulin du Petit Pré, and Musée de sainte Anne) to mark the 350th anniversary
of the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine. Trace your roots at Centre de généalogie, des
archives et des biens culturels in Château-Richer.
