Skiing and Snowboarding
The Mont-Sainte-Anne ski resort has played host to
a number of skiing and snowboarding World Cups and
is renowned for its high-quality skiing area with a vast
array of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all stripes.
Choose Côte-de-Beaupré for your vacation and enjoy
easy access to three first-class ski resorts at Stoneham, Mont-Sainte-Anne, and
Le Massif in Charlevoix.
Cross Country Skiing
Escape into 224 km of magnificent wooded trails,
including 125 km of skating trails, at the Mont-Sainte-
Anne Cross Country Skiing Center. It’s Canada’s No. 1
and the second biggest in North America. Enjoy the
variety of trails, exceptional snow cover, and first-class
maintenance. Use the wildlife interpretation panels to discover the nature all around
you and then head back to put your feet up beside the fire after a hearty trek.
Snowmobiling
Québec is one of the world’s premier snowmobiling
destinations. Marked trails in the Côte-de-Beaupré area
pass through extraordinary landscapes that combine the
magic of glistening snow with the charms of the frozen St.
Lawrence River below. The region is part of a 342 km
network of trails that lead to Québec City, Charlevoix, and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
Dogsledding
Les Secrets Nordiques offers a complete range of
dogsledding, snowshoeing, skijoring (skis pulled by
dogs!), and kicksledding trips at Mont-Sainte-Anne.
Visit the canine village at the summit, where you can
meet the 65 affectionate huskies free of charge all year
round, as well as the people who take care of them, and learn all about life in
the pack. Get there by gondola or walking trail.
Your Choice for Fun
Winter is a time for getting closer to nature, whether
through snowshoeing along Sentier des Caps in
Charlevoix or observing wildlife at Cap Tourmente
National Wildlife Area. The legendary snowcone at
Montmorency Falls Park is guaranteed fun for all the
family, and since 2006 everyone has been talking about a unique activity in all of
North America—ice canyoning at the frozen Jean Larose waterfalls from late
December to March. Or why not go for a trip along the Route de la Nouvelle-
France and visit its countless attractions, museums, and art galleries!
